Edmonton Public Library has an extensive World Languages collection, which makes it a good place to start. Follow Steps 1-3 below to view their books. If you already know what you are searching for, you can skip straight to Step 4.
Digital books, audiobooks, and magazines are available in multiple languages via the Libby / Overdrive app.

The PressReader resource gives you access to thousands of newspapers, from over 100 countries and in 60 languages.
The easiest way to search is using the app (instructions below), but you can also access the resource on a computer by visiting Shortgrass.ca/PressReader.
Note: Stories on TumbleBooks are available only in English, French, and Spanish.

CELA stands for Centre for Equitable Library Access. It is a service that provides books in accessible digital formats to patrons with print disabilities.

Transparent Language Online provides library members with free language learning, for adults and children alike. Choose from 140+ languages, 25+ activity types, and 21,000+ hours of courses.
Patrons can also learn a variety of dialects, study language pairs, and track their progress on their computer or mobile device.
Transparent Language Online is provided to libraries through the Public Library Services Branch (PLSB).
1. Visit the landing page.
2. Click the ‘Sign Up’ tab.
3. Enter your information and agree to the terms of service.
4. Choose from the list of available languages, and you are ready to learn.
