Shortgrass (Shorty) Awards

Nominations are now being accepted for our annual Shorty Awards!

Nominations should be submitted by noon on August 31st, 2022. The Shorty Award Committee will evaluate all nominations, and select winners to be announced at the Shortgrass Professional Development Day on October 24th, 2022.

Award winners will be selected based on the following criteria: excellence in library service; collaboration and resource sharing; benefit to community; transferability to another library.

Please see below for nomination guidelines:

  • Nominations must be received by noon on August 31st, 2022 to be considered.
  • Nominations should be no more than two typed pages in length.
  • Pictures and/or video submissions supporting the nomination are encouraged.
  • While measures and statistics may be used to prove the value of a particular project, awards will not be granted solely on those criteria.
  • Member libraries cannot win for a project previously awarded.

Please submit your nominations using the online form below.  Only complete applications will be considered.
